Interestingly-Odaiba is one of the most Romantic places to be in after dark, as the illuminated Rainbow bridge and Odaiba Ferris wheel are unforgettable. Odaiba are man made islands in the Bay of Tokyo. These islands were created to protect the city against attacks from the sea (Daiba means fort). They were built at the end of the Edo Period. During the extravagant eighties in Japan (‘the bubble’), the islands were redeveloped into a futuristic business district. A Must see place for anyone visiting Tokyo. The area has plenty of theme parks, one of a kind shopping malls, one of the best Science museums in the world and very interesting futuristic architecture (including a replica of the statue of liberty).

With 333 meters, Tokyo Tower is 13 meters taller than its model, the Eiffel Tower of Paris, and the world’s tallest self-supporting steel tower. It was completed in the year 1958 as a symbol for Japan’s rebirth as a major economic power, and serves as a television and radio broadcast antenna and tourist attraction
